Location: Keck Medicine of USC Hospital, Glendale, California

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform clerical, clinical, and communication functions on the assigned nursing unit.
2. Provide courteous reception and coordinate activities for patient care.

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Completion of an EKG or Rhythm interpretation course.

Minimum Experience/Knowledge

• At least one (1) year current experience as a Unit Secretary and Monitor Tech in an acute care setting is preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Data entry and computer skills.

Required License/Certification

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) card from the American Heart Association.
• ED/Geropsych: AB 508 Certification (if no card upon hire, it must be obtained within 30 days).
• Successful completion of an EKG course and rhythm recognition exam.
