Overview

Operations Supervisor - Airline Catering at LSG Sky Chefs.

This role supports a fast-paced production and transportation environment, managing a team focused on delivering a quality product to customers. The incumbent will monitor and engage employees in safety and performance initiatives.

Base pay

$68,000.00/yr - $78,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Ensure the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed, and that all delivery times are met.
• Schedule and control staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets.
• Ensure compliance with government and regulatory standards (FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP, etc.).
• Document and follow up on department processes to implement improvements.
• Ensure on-time and accurate production and/or catering for all flights.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

Leadership responsibilities

• Guide, motivate, and develop staff within HR policies.
• Model company values and management principles within the department.
• Manage productivity hours and costs; initiate corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Participate in and support company initiatives such as Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and Production systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge required.
• 1-3 years of related work experience requested.
• Problem solving and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and lead others to achieve productivity goals.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA and EPA regulations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills; ability to multi-task.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
