ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreter

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider that connects bilingual and multilingual individuals with opportunities to serve as freelance interpreters or translators. Our mission is to bridge the communication gap for those in need through excellent and compassionate language services.

Hanna is hiring ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreters to operate as freelance interpreters in a 1099 Independent Contractor role. As an interpreter, you contribute to language access for everyone, regardless of English proficiency. As an independent contractor, you act as your own boss, set your availability, and accept appointments based on your schedule.

Appointments are available Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Appointments are not guaranteed and are offered based on need. Interpreters rates can vary, depending on availability, experience, and demand of the language.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Exhibit proficiency in ASL (American Sign Language)
• Be willing to complete an ASL assessment by a Certified ASL Professional (exceptions can be made with proven work history and certifications)
• Complete all required documents in a timely manner
• Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments
• Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
