Job Description
The W.E.B. Du Bois Department of Afro-American Studies is seeking a full-time temporary non-tenure track (NTT) Lecturer for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. This is a temporary, benefitted one year appointment that will teach a 3-3 class load concentrating in Literature and Humanities. The preliminary schedule of classes to be taught is: Fall 2025 Semester: AA101 Introduction to Black Studies, AA151 Literature & Culture, AA156 Revolutionary Concepts in African American Music. Spring 2026: AA101 Introduction to Black Studies, AA156 Revolutionary Concepts in African American Music, AA600T Black Feminisms. This is a 100% FTE (full-time equivalent) benefitted-position.
Requirements
PhD required by September 1, 2025.
Additional Information
This is a one-year, temporary, and benefited non-tenure track Lecturer position. The position will remain open until filled. Salary is commensurate with experience.
