KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Machine Operation and Maintenance:
Reactive Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electric injection molding machines to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Maintain and repair auxiliary equipment including but not limited to, robots, Thermolators, conveyors, fixtures, automation equipment, grinders, forklifts, etc.
- Maintain and repair building facilities and company vehicles.
- Promptly address unexpected maintenance issues to ensure continuous operation.
Preventative Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Implement and adhere to a scheduled maintenance plan for all facilities and equipment.
- Document all maintenance activities for future reference and analysis.
Installation & Setup:
- Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machine performance.
Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) procedures.
- Follow Operational Controls Procedures (OCP).
- Implement Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for equipment safety.
- Use and maintain fire extinguishers and other emergency equipment proficiently.
- Identify and respond to emergency situations and accidents and prevent or mitigate associated adverse environmental impacts.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Analyze data to improve maintenance strategies and machine efficiency.
Support Functions:
- Provide support to all company departments as needed.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a part of corrective/preventative actions.
- Assist in the implementation of preventative actions.
- Maintain order and professional conduct throughout the manufacturing area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the job, the employee is required to talk or listen. The employee will frequently stand, sit, and walk, and will manipulate objects with hands and fingers. Additionally, the employee may be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and hot liquids. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)High School Diploma or GED.
- Forklift certification.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Strong hands-on mechanical skills.
- Familiarity with injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret machine drawings.
- Previous experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software.
