Your Role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and work on products for our Elite North American market, which includes American football, basketball, ice hockey, and soccer. You’ll have the chance to work on a new initiative that’s going to make a significant impact on the top teams in these sports.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Hudl, you’ll:

• Be a key technical leader. Support rapid iteration and deployment of changes across our products, break down complex engineering problems, advocate for best practices, and guide others.
• Maintain efficiency. Focus on outcomes over outputs, ensuring high-impact work is delivered efficiently, and empower your team to make data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate across disciplines. Work closely with leaders from various disciplines to plan and deliver product enhancements, driving innovation and high standards.
• Champion Agile practices. Participate in Scrum ceremonies and help maintain a strong team culture.

We prefer candidates living near our offices in Lincoln, Omaha, or Lexington, but are open to remote candidates in Kansas City, Chicago, Austin, or Dallas.

Must-Haves

• Strong technical proficiency. Expertise in full-stack engineering, cloud-based systems/services, TDD, CI/CD, and ability to drive engineering practices.
• Technical coaching experience. Ability to translate requirements, create architectural proposals, guide engineers, and break work into digestible increments.
• Collaborative mindset. Willingness to collaborate, provide technical input, assist teammates, and review code.
• Mentor mentality. Passion for helping others grow, through code reviews, pair programming, and documentation.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, C#, MongoDB, AWS. Knowledge of related languages/frameworks at scale.
• Sports industry knowledge. Experience in sports tech or playing sports at high levels.
• Experience with hybrid teams. Familiarity with remote/hybrid work environments.

Compensation

The salary range is $107,000 - $179,000 USD, with starting salaries near the middle. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education, following internal pay equity. Long-term incentives and bonuses are also possible.
