We are seeking an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter for our client, a leading global security and aerospace company. In this role, you will provide interpretation services for our deaf/hard-of-hearing employees in a machine shop environment.

This is a 12-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week role (Mon-Thu 10 hours), and an Onsite role in Orlando, FL.

This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely ASL interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing employees in the machine shop
• Facilitate communication between employees, supervisors, and other stakeholders
• Interpret meetings, training sessions, and other work-related activities
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Collaborate with others to ensure seamless communication
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and standards
  
  

Requirements

• Must have National certification as an ASL Interpreter (e.g., NIC, CI, or CT).
• 2+ years of experience as an ASL Interpreter in an industrial environment, machine shop or manufacturing setting.
• Fluency in ASL and English
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment with exposure to machinery and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to concentrate for extended periods
• Ability to work a 10-hour day, 4 days/week, with occasional overtime
