Job Summary
The Supervisor Ramp & Passenger Services manages, coordinates, and controls airport activities for Ramp and Passenger Services. Responsibilities include monitoring work performance, directing personnel, overseeing staffing, participating in discipline, coaching, hiring, and termination processes, training staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, and managing budgets and staffing requirements. The role may involve communication with Airport Board officials and customers, monitoring employee performance, and ensuring safety, security, quality, and employee relations standards are met or exceeded. It also involves maintaining compliance with security programs and TSA legislation, conducting audits, and implementing site-specific security plans. All staff must display company ID badges and be treated with respect.
Ramp Service Functions include: loading/unloading cargo, transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft, handling freight and materials, cleaning and servicing aircraft interiors, assisting with aircraft de-icing, pushback, ground power, and related functions. Some duties may involve cleaning, security monitoring, automotive repairs, and equipment servicing.
Compensation: $26.78/hr
Responsibilities
- Perform airport operations such as ticketing, baggage check-in, issuing boarding passes, and dispatching flights safely and on time.
- Handle baggage service functions, including loss, damage, and pilferage claims.
- Provide professional customer service and resolve passenger issues.
- Coordinate with departments like catering, fueling, and maintenance.
- Represent the company when required.
- Report to work regularly and punctually.
- Read and interpret safety and operational documents.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations and interpret data.
- Identify problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent; 6 months to 1 year of related experience or training.
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and days off.
Preferred Skills
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, use judgment, handle stress, and work independently.
- Ability to write reports and speak effectively before groups.
