North American Sales Manager - FIIS Commercial and Packaging
FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc. is seeking a North American Sales Manager for FIIS Commercial and Packaging. The role focuses on print system and consumable (fluids, spares, service, etc.) sales and growth for FIIS in North America. The successful candidate will manage and develop existing accounts and identify new leads, converting them into sales in the short, medium, and long term. Target areas include driving growth of adapted print engine solutions onto analog presses in the commercial imprinting and packaging market segments. The role may require periodic collaboration with other FUJIFILM sales divisions to drive standard FIIS products through these channels.
Overview
The FIIS North American Sales Manager engages markets and customers through trade associations, trade shows, and direct lead generation. This role requires initial assessment of opportunities to qualify leads, identify technical potential, opportunity size, and fit with current capabilities. Ongoing customer interactions aim to identify opportunities, solve problems, promote FIIS, and improve customer satisfaction. The position can work independently or as part of a cross-functional team including marketing, European sales, technical support, and other Fujifilm divisions.
Responsibilities
- FIIS Sales in North America
- Maintain understanding of FIIS capabilities to discuss with potential customers and identify areas with highest likelihood of success
- Develop qualified leads for transfer to FIIS Customer Management team
- Ability to close deals for repeat sales
- Customer-centric approach; understand customer problems and communicate FIIS value proposition
- Sell a technology platform and FIIS offerings as packaged value
- Strong networking to identify key decision makers and secure meetings
- Engage legacy customers for upsell and maintenance/ink purchases
- Lead campaign sales of niche offerings
- Respond to leads promptly and provide updates to FIIS business team
- Provide market communications through trade shows and customer engagements
- Contribute insights to FIIS business team and suggest future directions
- Propose ideas for new applications or capabilities to meet market objectives
- Handle special projects as assigned
- Travel approximately 50% with potential for greater travel on short notice
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline
- 5+ years in product management, product marketing, or equivalent
- Technical knowledge sufficient to liaise between internal experts and customers
- Strong influence and persuasion skills and persistence to close deals
- Ability to communicate clearly and manage cross-functional relationships
- Open-minded, thoughtful decision making
- Excellent interpersonal skills with peers, supervisors, and customers
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
- Fluency in English for business communications
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and CRM)
DESIRED:
- Advanced degree in technical or marketing field
- Proven sales experience in the inkjet industry
- Knowledge of the printing industry, preferably inkjet
- Knowledge of FUJIFILM Dimatix technology
- Product development and/or manufacturing experience
Physical Demands
50% travel occasionally on short notice, with greater travel amount periodically.
Work Environment
Office environment with similar travel requirements as noted above.
