The Team: The Part-Time seasonal Server position is part of the American Girl Washington, DC retail store's Bistro team.

The Opportunity: The American Girl Washington, DC retail store and bistro (McLean, VA) is looking for a dynamic individual as a Part-Time Server to deliver food and beverages and provide an outstanding dining experience to Bistro guests. If you thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, have exceptional communication skills, and can handle customer issues graciously and promptly, we want to hear from you.

What Your Impact Will Be:

• Greet customers upon arrival and inform guests of food and beverage options; share information on store and restaurant events.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and ingredients; suggest items for guests with food allergies.
• Address customer concerns and special requests professionally and timely.
• Execute all aspects of food and beverage service efficiently, including upselling, timely delivery, table checks, and processing payments through the register system.
• Follow food safety guidelines and health sanitation laws.
• Contribute to a positive work environment by assisting co-workers and helping with events and projects.

What We’re Looking For:

• ServSafe certification, preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a high-volume and/or fine dining restaurant, preferred.
• Banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Experience working with children, preferred.
• Experience with restaurant computer systems, preferred.
• Physically demanding position; ability to carry a serving tray and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
