Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals facing behavioral health challenges? Join us at Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Behavioral Specialist with our Vantage Point North program in American Fork, Utah. You will work onsite at our Youth Crisis Center, providing hands-on support to youth ages 10-17. You will help contribute to a Safe & Positive Environment and support the well-being of community members as they navigate their behavioral health journeys.
The Vantage Point North Program works with youth dealing with crisis such as suicidal ideation, family problems, child abuse/neglect, running away, homelessness, substance abuse, mental illness, behavior problems and/or waiting for foster care placement.
Schedule and Compensation
Salary: $16.49-$20.90 per hour with a variable schedule. Schedule: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM (SWING) with varying shifts between Sunday-Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Provide support, guidance, and encouragement to individuals as they navigate their behavioral health journeys.
- Work onsite with youth ages 10-17 at the Youth Crisis Center.
- Collaborate with clinicians and the team to support clients and families.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred but not required.
- Relevant experience in behavioral health or mental health settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, adapt to changing environments, and think critically.
Requirements
- Employment contingent upon successful drug screen, motor vehicle record review, and criminal background check.
- Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing after hire; official copy of licensure or certification if applicable.
