The Team: The Part-Time Asset Protection Associate position is part of the American Girl New York City retail store team. A valid NYS security license is required.

The Opportunity: The American Girl New York City retail store is looking for a dynamic individual as a Part-Time Asset Protection Associate, committed to maintaining a safe environment for customers and employees, and safeguarding company assets. The ideal candidate can multi-task, has excellent communication skills, and demonstrates compassion and professionalism.

What Your Impact Will Be:

• Maintain a safe environment for customers and staff by monitoring safety concerns and managing customer traffic.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle escalated situations professionally.
• Prevent loss of assets through surveillance, package checks, and knowledge of legal laws related to retail security.
• Serve as a safety mentor for store employees by leading by example.

Qualifications:

• One to two years of experience in loss prevention, law enforcement, criminal justice, military, or security preferred.
• State-specific security license required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including children, preferred.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The hourly rate for this position is between $19.00 - $20.00.*

*Hourly rate varies based on education, skills, and experience.
