Overview

Delivery Driver (non CDL) job at American Tire Distributors. Oklahoma City, OK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers and ensure on-time delivery and professional interaction to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Provide timely transportation of products from origin to destination as assigned; unload and stage products at customer locations.
• Maintain professional representation of the Company in all customer interactions and through responsible driving; provide excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Assist in verification of outgoing and incoming product for accuracy in terms of size, amount, and type.
• Collect payments from customers in forms acceptable to the Company.
• Ensure all administrative paperwork concerning delivery orders required to move with shipments is available for inspection and accompanies the delivery.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, fuel purchase records, mileage records, and other records required by law and Company policy.
• Abide by all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations.
• Occasionally operate powered industrial vehicles (forklift pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.).

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Class “C” driver’s license or other proper license classification as required by the Department of Transportation.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior work experience sufficient to work under general supervision.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Occasional lifting of products up to approximately 50 pounds and handling tires greater than 50 pounds.
• Exposure to weather conditions and moderate noise level.
• Travel required 75% of the time with no overnight stays.
