Omni Royal Orleans is seeking a Bartender to join our team. Located at St. Louis and Royal Streets, the hotel has long been recognized for its service and style. We invite you to contribute to our continued success and legacy.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests promptly in a friendly manner.
• Upsell and perform suggestive selling to guests.
• Delivery of beverages to guests.
• Monitor guests drinks and anticipate needs.
• Produce drinks and complete orders for guests and other servers.
• Clean and service the bar area.
• Departing guests, ensuring proper payment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year bartending experience in a high-volume fine dining environment.
• Must have a current Louisiana Responsible Vendor's Permit.
• Must have current ServSafe Food Handler's Certification.
• Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer, including appropriate pours and mixology.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Ability to accurately input information into MICROS.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm and welcoming demeanor.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers within and outside your department.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and work in indoor/outdoor environments.

Physical & Working Environment

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Interior of hotel restaurant and kitchen areas with exposure to humidity, steam, and temperature variations.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and food/beverage items.

Tools & Equipment

• Coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, glassware, telephone, pen/pencil, photocopier.
