This is a part-time position working 4 hour shifts/5 days a week. Must be available on weekends. Start time ranging from 7:00 am–9:00 am.

Base pay range: $22.00/hr - $28.00/hr

City of Hope Orange County is transforming cancer treatment by bringing world-class expertise and specialized care closer to home. Supported by a regional network of care, our 11-acre academic cancer campus in Irvine is home to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, our outpatient cancer center, and Orange County’s only cancer specialty hospital, opening in late 2025.

With the opening of the hospital, the full continuum of advanced cancer care—from prevention through survivorship—will be available in Orange County for the first time, eliminating the need to travel for lifesaving treatment. Seamlessly connected to our outpatient cancer center, the new clinical research hospital will feature 73 inpatient beds, advanced surgical suites, groundbreaking clinical trials, and holistic services such as rehabilitative therapy and spiritual care. This isn’t standard cancer care. This is lifesaving cancer care. This is Hope.

This is a part-time role as a Lobby Ambassador who provides a high level of customer service to assist with meet and greet, mobility, wayfinding, directions, and connecting patients and families to City of Hope resources. The Lobby Ambassador serves as liaison between the valet parking area and the patient registration area and/or hospital destination, and may assist with transportation using an electric vehicle or wheelchair from parking or valet to hospital or outpatient destination. The role requires engagement, strong interpersonal skills, safety awareness, and alignment with City of Hope values.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet patients and assist with general information and directional assistance.
  • Communicate with other staff and drivers frequently.
  • Demonstrate a willingness and ability to help others at all times.
  • Practice preventative safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in a customer service role with at least one year providing face-to-face customer service
  • Strong communication and prioritization skills
  • CPR/BLS certification through American Heart Association
  • Current CA Driver’s License
