Our Company is hiring: Cybersecurity Engineer in Huntsville

Overview:

Signalink is seeking to hire a Cybersecurity Engineer. The Journeyman Cybersecurity Engineer will be a key member of a team performing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Equipment and Software Cybersecurity Systems Engineering and supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process for tactical systems.

The candidate will have the following responsibilities:

1. Provide accurate technical evaluations of FMS equipment, software applications, systems, or networks, documenting security posture, capabilities, and vulnerabilities against applicable NIST controls.
2. Select and implement security controls, complete accreditation packages timely, formulate and implement mitigations, and maintain system security posture.
3. Identify, assess, and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the system lifecycle, validate security requirements, and maintain documentation for certification and accreditation activities.
4. Lead cybersecurity process and tool improvements.
5. Monitor and evaluate system compliance with DoD security, resilience, and dependability requirements, including validation, analysis of differences, and risk assessment at software, system, and network levels.
6. Collaborate with the team to provide solutions ensuring system functionality within the DoD RMF framework.
7. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Cybersecurity with 3 to 10 years of experience.
• Experience with DoD STIG requirements, NIST RMF, IAVMs, and cybersecurity assessment tools (ACAS, Nessus, SCC, STIG Viewer).
• Knowledge of RMF process and NIST security controls.
• Experience as a Security Control Assessor-Validator (SCA-V).
• Proficiency with Confluence and Jira.
• Knowledge of information system architecture and cybersecurity standards.
• Security+ or higher certification.
• Ability to travel, estimated at less than 25% annually.

Other Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Cybersecurity (preferred).
• Experience in a DoD security environment (preferred).
• Strong communication and writing skills, team-oriented, with attention to detail.

Security Requirements:

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with a Final Secret Clearance or eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
