Overview
Ingenium Talent, a Louisville-based recruiting firm, is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Manager to lead and manage our client's cybersecurity operations. This role will be instrumental in expanding our client's cybersecurity capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of managing teams, driving strategic security initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of security measures across the organization, while fostering a culture of proactive risk management.

Please note that all candidates must be local to the Louisville, Kentucky area, or within an hour drive as this role will be onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, ensuring the team is motivated, well-equipped, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop and execute cybersecurity strategies to protect the organization from evolving cyber threats, ensuring both defensive and proactive measures are in place.
- Oversee and manage security risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, and threat intelligence operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to implement and maintain a cohesive cybersecurity program.
- Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure the organization is adhering to security best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Manage the design and implementation of security architecture, including firewalls, encryption protocols, identity and access management systems, and intrusion detection systems.
- Provide leadership in the development of security awareness training programs for employees and leadership.
- Report to senior leadership and stakeholders on the organization's cybersecurity posture, risks, and remediation strategies.
- Respond to and manage cybersecurity incidents, ensuring timely communication and resolution while documenting all actions and decisions taken.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring the organization remains ahead of emerging threats.
Required Qualifications
- CISSP Certification (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is a must.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a cybersecurity leadership role, managing teams and driving strategic initiatives.
- Extensive experience with risk management, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST 2.0, ISO 27001, or CIS Critical Security Controls.
- In-depth understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex cybersecurity challenges and develop actionable solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
