Overview

Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect with a deep understanding of modern architecture principles to design secure, scalable solutions and assess emerging technologies. The role focuses on aligning security controls with enterprise standards and integrating risk-based security into business and IT initiatives.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Job Location: On-site at Arlington, TX or Irving, TX (relocation incentive available)

Responsibilities

• Define, validate, and communicate security architecture standards and requirements across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Assess proposed technical solutions, identify risk, and recommend compensating controls to ensure alignment with enterprise security objectives.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to influence secure design decisions and promote shared accountability for cybersecurity.
• Contribute to the delivery of security architecture components within multiple, concurrent projects and initiatives.
• Maintain current knowledge of threat trends, security technologies, and architectural best practices to inform decision-making.

Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years specifically in cybersecurity architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong expertise in cloud security (AWS preferred, Azure accepted), identity and access management, application and data security, and enterprise risk assessment.
• Ability to assess architectural gaps and propose practical solutions aligned with acceptable risk levels.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks within highly regulated environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Certifications such as CISSP or CCSP preferred; experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
