Cybersecurity Analyst role at Caterpillar Inc.
What You Will Do
- Support Caterpillar’s Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) (including Linux/Ubuntu server), Identity Management, Vulnerability Management / Attack Surface Visibility / Response Actions environments.
- Promote automation for monitoring and remediation of client health issues, monitoring of EDR infrastructure, vulnerability remediation, and aligning to Enterprise ITSM change and control procedures.
- Act as a liaison between Corporate Cybersecurity and business partners to understand operations, maintain global security processes, and provide expertise, technical guidance, and security awareness as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and SOC teams to implement detection logic and improve threat visibility.
- Contribute to the development of automated detection and response capabilities.
What You Have / Qualifications
- Knowledge of developing cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures; ability to communicate policies, standards and procedures that guide interactions with customers.
- Knowledge of endpoint security tools and processes; ability to design and implement security programs to prevent data loss and intrusions.
- Strong experience in Enterprise Tool Support (AV, EDR, Vulnerability Scanner, SCCM, etc).
- Familiarity with infrastructure and services for secure, scalable applications (on-premises or hybrid/cloud).
- Knowledge of information security technologies and encryption software; ability to protect information security across the organization.
- Knowledge of IT security policies, standards, and procedures; ability to provide technical guidance to clients (internal/external) and ensure cybersecurity compliance.
- Experience with requirement analysis, eliciting and recording business functionality and non-functionality requirements.
- Knowledge of system and technology integration; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases, and platforms.
- OS Administration: Linux, Windows, MacOS; experience with Windows/MacOS frameworks; remote administration tools; troubleshooting MSI packages.
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python) and CLI; basic SQL knowledge.
- Technical writing skills for manuals, reports, guidelines; ability to document solutions and present to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
- Experience with Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)/XDR tools; kernel-level security solutions.
- Cloud services knowledge; help desk/desktop support experience; ServiceNow experience.
- Scripting or automation tools for threat detection and analysis; automation solutioning experience.
- Curiosity about new attack vectors; ability to work in a collaborative environment; 24x7 on-call rotation ability.
- Technical certifications (e.g., SANS, ICS2).
- Understanding of business operations and IT/Technology processes.
- Willingness to adapt to changes in cybersecurity; teamwork and feedback-oriented.
Location / Travel / Relocation
- Primary location: Peoria, IL; Nashville, TN; or Irving, TX.
- Domestic relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.
- Sponsorship is not available.
- Up to 5% travel required.

Compensation
Summary Pay Range: $79,800.00 - $119,760.00. Compensation and benefits vary by factors such as job level, location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
