Position Overview

Responsibilities include building and maintaining the bank’s cyber hygiene and application security posture by implementing and managing automated code scanning tools, identifying vulnerabilities, and collaborating with development teams to drive secure coding practices.

$505.45/Day

Responsibilities

  • Cyber Hygiene Strategy & Implementation: Lead development and execution of cybersecurity hygiene processes, policies, and procedures across the organization, including secure configuration management, patching, vulnerability management, and end-to-end risk mitigation.
  • Security Architecture & Design: Partner with engineering teams to design and implement secure infrastructure, ensuring all components adhere to cybersecurity hygiene best practices.
  • Vulnerability Management: Oversee the vulnerability management lifecycle, from identification to remediation and reporting; ensure timely patching of critical vulnerabilities.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies; conduct regular audits and recommend improvements.
  • Training & Awareness: Educate teams on cyber hygiene best practices; lead training sessions and provide resources to maintain secure systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to refine cyber hygiene posture and stay updated with threats and best practices.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Develop and deliver reports on cyber hygiene initiatives, risk levels, and compliance to inform management decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with a strong focus on cyber hygiene, vulnerability management, and configuration management.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security, system security, and vulnerability management frameworks.
  • Experience with patch management, vulnerability scanning, and remediation tools (e.g., Tanium, Tenable, Prisma, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security (Azure, GCP) and on-premises security controls.
  • Expertise in system hardening, secure configuration management, and automation.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify subtle vulnerabilities.
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills across developers, IT, and security teams.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and enhance security.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced and evolving environment with the ability to adopt new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
