Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Principal level Cybersecurity Engineer (ISSE) located in Kettering, Ohio (Dayton/WPAFB area) to support our EPASS GB contract. This role supports the MROi Maintenance Financials (MMF) program under the AFLCMC/GB BES directorate, delivering integrated capabilities for planning, scheduling, and executing organic Depot Maintenance to support agile planning, optimized workload assignment, resource allocation, and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Provide the PMO/Capability Development Manager (CDM) cybersecurity support per DoDI 8500.01.
- Assess and continuously monitor cybersecurity risk ensuring legacy and new capabilities adhere to enterprise standards such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), and NIST, per the Authorization Official's Information System's Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) strategy.
- Apply best practices when implementing security controls across software engineering, system/security engineering, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding; coordinate security-related activities with the information security architect, ISSM, ISSO, ISO, and common control provider.
- Complete training and maintain certification IAW AFI 17-1303. Duties may include: completing and maintaining required cybersecurity certifications IAW AFMAN 17-1303; ensuring all AF IT cybersecurity documentation is current and accessible; supporting the PM or ISO in maintaining current authorization to operate and implementing corrective actions; coordinating development of an ISCM strategy and monitoring changes to the system; continuously monitoring IT and environment for security-relevant events; assessing configuration changes for cybersecurity impact; assessing security control effectiveness; reporting cybersecurity events or changes to the AO and affected parties; ensuring ISSOs and privileged users receive training and appropriate certifications IAW AFMAN 17-1301/AFI 17-1303 and DoDI 8500.01; and ensuring proper DoD directive compliance for acquisition, documentation, operation, maintenance, and disposal of AF IT.
Job Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field with at least 20 years of experience in the respective discipline, 12 years in DoD, OR
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 25 years of experience in the discipline, 15 years in DoD, OR
- 30 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 20 years in DoD
- Active Secret security clearance (must maintain)
- Experience guiding Access control, Configuration management, System and communications protection, Contingency planning, Incident handling, and System and information integrity
- Security and privacy training and awareness; software development activities and tools related to Cybersecurity
- Experience performing cybersecurity duties per DoDI 8500.01, AFI 17-130 and AFI 17-1301
- Experience evaluating findings and developer adjudications with automated testing tools (e.g., Fortify, Checkmarx, SonarQube, AppScan)
- Experience using DoD tracking systems to document cybersecurity deficiencies, vulnerabilities, and change requests (e.g., Jira, HP ALM, eMASS)
- Experience with ISCM to support organizational risk decisions per ISCM strategy
- Meet the requirements for and maintain a personnel certification for the DCWF Information Systems Security Developer role (631) at an advanced level (principal) per DoDI 8510.01, AFMAN 17-1305 and AFI 17-101; examples include FITSI FITSP-D, GIAC GCSA, CISSP-ISSEP

- Other Agile Certifications
- Working knowledge of Agile Development methodology
- Experience with tools such as CheckMarx, SonarQube, Mavin, Fortify, Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket
