Job Summary
Provides leadership to a team of project, program, and compliance managers to deliver multiple IT security projects, including large and complex projects, and ensures continuous maturity of cybersecurity programs to address the evolving risk landscape. Organizes workstreams for integrating InfoSec projects with business unit solutions, and serves as liaison between Cybersecurity and business. Responsible for setting employee and group goals, organizational structure, performance assessments, feedback, and pay recommendations. Interacts regularly with institute-wide executive leadership, OIT senior leadership, project managers, campus partners and stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Advises and counsels senior leadership and project managers. Supervises assigned staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous leadership in maturity of cybersecurity programs to a team of project managers to deliver multiple IT security projects, including large and complex projects.
- Drives execution for on-time, on-scope delivery of IT security solutions, releasing new features/capabilities, fixing bugs, and reducing technical debt, in partnership with university stakeholders.
- Manages expectations with stakeholders and prepares professional communications around information security topics.
- Facilitates the definition of program/project scope, goals, and deliverables; maintains the program roadmap with defined outcomes and value statements.
- Oversees the InfoSec program and project-level dashboards, scorecards, reporting, and metrics; monitors progress and provides ongoing release status updates to senior business partners and project team members.
- Produces cybersecurity program and project dashboards, scorecards, reporting, and metrics to monitor progress and performance; provides updates to stakeholders and teams on program execution.
- Organizes workstreams for integrating cybersecurity projects with business unit solutions; serves as liaison between Cybersecurity and business.
- Ensures effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple teams and vendors.
- Communicates program status and escalates issues to key stakeholders; explains cybersecurity initiatives in simple, understandable terms.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
Seven to nine years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Office (PMO); Scrum Certification; CISSP; CISM; CISA.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree.
Preferred Experience
Ten or more years of progressive project management experience.
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated experience with federal cybersecurity requirements including NIST, FISMA, CMMC, or DFARS.
- Demonstrated experience managing Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance programs.
- Demonstrated experience in project and program management.
- Leadership and management experience leading teams of up to 10 people.

Budget $150,500

ABILITIES
Strong ability to manage and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse population, perform under pressure, communicate complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences, and effectively manage/direct teams.
KNOWLEDGE
Strong knowledge of program management principles, Agile/Scrum lifecycle, identity and access management, finances, budgeting, and IT infrastructure in an enterprise setting.
SKILLS
Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, project management tools (JIRA), creating statements of work, customer service, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail; proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
