We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer 6 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of SES, you will be involved in designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio-visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial clients across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

Information System Security Engineer Position Summary

In this role, you will work on developmental and operational teams responsible for system security engineering services for our federal government client in a highly secure and sensitive environment.

  • Collaborate with team members, vendors, and government customers
  • Implement DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems
  • Assist in developing and verifying documentation for the DoD RMF assessment and authorization process
  • Conduct ICS/SCADA system inventories following DoD guidance
  • Perform vulnerability scans and document vulnerabilities
  • Support ISO standardization and quality inspections
  • Participate in continuous improvement of organizational cybersecurity posture
  • Provide system security engineering services to ensure secure, reliable, and available systems and networks
  • Design and implement security principles into information systems architecture
  • Analyze and evaluate to design, test, and deploy secure systems, networks, and architectures
  • Enforce trusted relations among external systems and architectures
  • Assess and mitigate security threats throughout the system lifecycle
  • Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and certification activities
  • Review assessment and accreditation documentation for completeness and compliance
  • Apply security engineering expertise across various domains and solutions
  • Provide security requirements to architects, engineers, and developers
  • Verify system implementations and recommend mitigations for secure accreditation
  • Serve as security SME for A&A and Continuous Monitoring processes
  • Guide System Owners and Teams on security strategies
  • Support resolution of conflicting security requirements

Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants must be eligible for a ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ POLY clearance.

Education:

  • 9+ years with Master's in IT, Risk Management, or Cybersecurity
  • 12+ years with Bachelor's in the same fields
  • 15+ years with Associate's degree
  • 18+ years with High School diploma

Experience:

  • Designing platforms and systems with industry and government agencies
  • Implementing cybersecurity in industrial control systems
  • Proficiency with ACAS and HBSS, mitigation strategies
  • Developing policies for system reliability and security
  • Managing vulnerabilities and POA&M
  • Applying STIGs to various systems
  • Understanding DoD RMF lifecycle and NIST 800-53 controls
  • Knowledge of ICS security standards and UFC 4-010-06
  • Familiarity with operational control systems and security assessment tools
