Compensation : $180,000-220,000 / year

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market, sales enablement, and thought leadership programs for our zero trust SaaS data security platform. You will craft positioning, external communications, and competitive analysis to shape the product voice, drive brand awareness, and grow our cybersecurity SaaS business. You will report to the SVP of Product Marketing and define the go-to-market strategy for our Data Security Platform, aiming to drive sales growth, increase market awareness, and accelerate the sales cycle.

In this role you will create that playbook—defining positioning and thought leadership for technology that protects sensitive data across Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Market Insights: Create strategic insights into how we can impact potential customers. Collaborate with Product Management and Sales to develop targets, personas (economic and technical), and buyer insights for technical and business decision-makers across enterprise and government sectors.
  • Strategic Positioning: Develop product positioning and messaging differentiating our data security solutions. Create tailored messaging for technical audiences (developers, security engineers, architects) and monitor pricing strategies aligned with market expectations and value delivery.
  • Commercial Readiness: Liaise between Product, Sales, and Marketing to ensure seamless product strategy execution. Drive launch readiness for product introductions and support buyer education resources and demand generation programs.
  • Technical Engagement: Drive adoption within technical communities, producing technical content and resources for highly technical audiences.
  • Content Creation: Design enablement initiatives for Sales and channel partners, develop training, and create thought leadership content establishing Virtru as an authority in data-centric security and zero-trust.
  • Assess Competitive Landscape: Monitor competitive landscape, including SWOT, positioning, and pricing analysis of key competitors.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of cybersecurity product marketing leadership in enterprise security or data protection solutions, with success in B2B/B2G markets.
  • Ability to translate complex security concepts for diverse audiences (developers, security engineers, CISOs, business stakeholders).
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise security architecture, data protection models, zero trust, and regulatory frameworks (CMMC, GDPR, FedRAMP, HIPAA, ITAR).
  • Experience in developer marketing strategies and content.
  • Track record of 8+ large-scale software product launches with commercialization strategies.
  • Competitive positioning skills to differentiate value propositions in security markets.
  • Sales enablement experience with tools like white papers, battle cards, and demos.
  • Excellent content creation and storytelling abilities across formats (presentations, whitepapers, webinars, technical docs).
  • Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making, including pricing and SaaS metrics.
  • Experience with competitive intelligence in security markets.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred: Pragmatic Marketing Framework certification or other relevant security certifications.
