Who We’re Looking For

Toyota’s CSRM group seeks team members passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative, motivated team as a Senior Engineer – Product Cybersecurity. The primary responsibility is to develop foundational security software components, cryptographic services, and technology with the highest quality and security to protect the connected vehicle ecosystem.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role involves deploying security solutions for applications in a connected vehicle environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Software development focusing on backend cloud services and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Designing, developing, and debugging complex software systems for the automotive sector.
  • Identifying software defects, fixing bugs, and supporting operations.
  • Writing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Collaborating in an Agile scrum environment, attending Sprint cadences, and working with stakeholders and team members.
  • Providing research and analysis on automotive cybersecurity to counsel management and solve cybersecurity problems.

What You Bring

  • Experience in writing scalable, secure code using best practices and design patterns.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in CS, EE, CECS, or equivalent, or professional experience.
  • Proficiency in strongly typed languages such as Golang, Java, .NET Core, C/C++, etc., with a focus on Golang.
  • Experience with AWS core resources and technologies.

Added Bonus

  • Experience building backend services in Golang deployed in AWS.
  • Experience with React frontend applications.
  • Cybersecurity certifications like CISSP or CISA.
  • Knowledge of cryptography, cloud security, embedded security, and automotive industry processes.
