Position: Cybersecurity Systems Analyst, Associate — MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL. US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance required to be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assessment and authorization coordination; advise and assist the customer with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and develop a Plan of Action and Milestones to resolve network deficiencies in accordance with DoDI 8510.01 and ICD 503.
  • Assess network compliance against controls listed in NIST 800-53 and create A&A packages; perform assessment, compliance, and validation of IT systems to support the Cybersecurity program.
  • Execute comprehensive assessment, compliance, and validation of customer networks to ensure regulatory and security standards are met; identify and mitigate deficiencies and vulnerabilities to protect system integrity.
  • Advise on network and system risks and risk mitigation actions; conduct security evaluations and vulnerability assessments using tools such as ACAS, Nessus, and SCAP; identify applicable STIGs and perform assessments with SCAP tooling.
  • Collaborate with network and system administrators to correct deficiencies; review scans for new systems and applications in the SOF environment and draft certification letters for the government.
  • Liaise with the Site Integration Facility (SIF) to ensure systems and applications meet DISA STIGs.
  • Leverage cyber network defense tools (end point security, SIEM, etc.) and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Track A&A status of SIE-governed ISs and maintain artifacts in USSOCOM-approved tools; track and report compliance with applicable cybersecurity directives to higher headquarters (e.g., USCYBERCOM, DIA).
  • Develop and maintain documentation for networks, cloud environments, information systems, and technologies as they are introduced into the SIE; maintain ISCM plans and continuous monitoring processes.
  • Coordinate with USCYBERCOM, DoD, DIA, NSA, DISA, and subordinate organizations to resolve security, A&A, connection approvals, and waiver requests; manage risk and vulnerability assessments and associated reports.
  • Validate system patching, perform validation scanning, develop POA&Ms, and report as directed by policy; provide COA development and implement cybersecurity mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement processes and capabilities to mitigate vulnerabilities for software and hardware deployments; monitor effectiveness of security measures and report analytics to AO/DAO as required.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills

  • Less than 5 years of progressive, relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical background with system administration, architecture and engineering; networking, identity management, Microsoft and Linux operating systems, databases, and mobility; RMF knowledge.
  • Experience with DoD RMF processes and policies; familiarity with Telos Xacta or eMASS preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of DoD IA policies (e.g., DODI 8510.01, NIST, CNSS, CJCSM 65101.01, Incident Response).

  • BA/BS Degree

Certifications

  • IAT Level II

Clearance

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required
  • Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) as required by the client or contracts
