Are you seeking a new and challenging position supporting a complex, mission-critical Program? Well, look no further! Leidos is currently looking to add a Sr. Systems Engineer to an Information Assurance Program near Ft. Meade, MD.
The successful candidate will participate in the development and evaluation of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, security requirements, and security testing documents. They will provide technical support for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific hardware/software system components, including requirements elicitation, analysis, functional allocation, system requirements reviews, and technical/non-technical assessments. Additionally, they will support planning and test analysis for the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process and other Government Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform cybersecurity high assurance evaluation activities, including reviewing security evaluation documents and artifacts for devices undergoing certification and assessment to ensure compliance with security requirements. Attend and participate in security-related meetings and reviews, translating vulnerability knowledge into guidance to prevent or manage risks. Document security deficiencies identified during artifact evaluations and recommend clarifications and process improvements to mitigate security concerns.
Qualifications:
- 20+ years of System Engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university; five (5) additional years of SE experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in Information Assurance and Cryptography
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and lead small teams
- Active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance required
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in Space, Weapon, Ground, or Terminal system development or evaluation
- Knowledge of DoD Certification/Accreditation processes and other government C&A procedures
- Experience in Space System Engineering

Pay Range: $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
