The IS Program Manager Cybersecurity is responsible for successfully leading the strategic and tactical project and initiative delivery for the Cybersecurity IS tower programs, and provides leadership, coaching and mentoring to the respective project managers that align to the tower.

Overview

The role focuses on delivering programs and initiatives within the Cybersecurity IS tower, ensuring governance, cross-functional integration, and timely, quality results while upholding PMO methodologies across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure measures of success are defined with business owners to track program and project value and outcomes.
  • Create and own stakeholder maps and builds/owns communication plans.
  • Own project financials and gatekeep budget and resource planning; ensure resources are planned efficiently and secured in a timely manner.
  • Follow Tenet PMO methodologies to execute all projects; drive governance, decisions, and changes for large, complex, and enterprise programs.
  • Drive cross-functional integration of deliverables from other towers for programs and maintain transparency, urgency, and escalation as appropriate.
  • Ensure quality assurance is well planned and executed; manage issues and risks with rigorous follow-up and closure.
  • Own and uphold PMO governance, processes, and continuous improvement across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, regardless of reporting structure, and build partnerships across key stakeholder groups for effective execution.
  • Be cross-functional and able to lead outside of the assigned scope of work, embedding a big-picture view of IS tower initiatives.
  • Proactively review performance and define continuous improvement with the reporting manager on a regular cadence.
  • Serve as a point of escalation and proactively work across groups to mitigate risk and resolve issues; communicate initiatives to leaders and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience
    • 3 – 5 years as a strategic Program Manager of progressively more complex and large-scale initiatives preferred.
    • Solid cybersecurity system implementation experience.
    • Strong knowledge of financial principles.
    • An industry-standard process management certification is preferred (bachelor’s degree in a related field may be substituted).
    • Certifications such as Project Management Institute’s Project Management or Agile Professional; Lean Six Sigma.
    • A bachelor’s degree in project management, healthcare, or computer science is preferred; related job experience may be substituted.
  • Tools
    • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
    • Visio or equivalent process mapping tool
    • ServiceNow Project Management or equivalent tool
    • Apptio or equivalent financial management tool
  • Competencies and Skills
    • Leadership: clear and concise written and verbal communication; senior relationship building; team building; cross-functional collaboration; resource management through influence; coaching and mentoring.
    • Strategic: complex enterprise program/project planning; change management.
    • Efficiency: scaling and tailoring highly complex programs focused on quality and timely delivery.
    • Project Management: resource planning and execution; budget planning and performance; contract management; live support and transition planning.
    • Performance: KPI management; business case management; program/project measures of success management.
