## Job Description SummaryThe successful candidate will teach a variety of core courses within the Computer Science and Cybersecurity programs. Additional expectations include academic advising, assisting the department with program assessment, administrative work, and serving on college and university-wide committees. Faculty are required to continue professional development in accordance with university expectations. Preference will be given to applicants with recent Cybersecurity industry experience.## Job Description* **D****UTIES AND TASKS:** + Teach 8 classes + Advise students + Assist with academic program reviews + Undertake professional development and produce scholarly research + Undertake community service in keeping with the University’s Benedictine values + Teach on-ground, online, evening, and weekend classes as needed + Teach undergraduate courses + Participate in department, college, and university meetings and committees + Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chairperson and/or Dean **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:** **Knowledge:** + At least a master’s degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity or Information Security, or Computer Information Systems, or closely related discipline. + Ability to teach a broad spectrum of courses across the ACM/IEEE Computer Science or ISC Cybersecurity curriculum + Preference will be given to applicants with recent Cybersecurity industry experience. **Skills:** + Display collegial disposition and is open to new ideas for improving processes + Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures + Willingness to learn and adapt to change **Abilities:** + Demonstrate effective written, oral and organizational skills + Ability to take initiative and thrive in a dynamic environment + Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with a diversity of colleagues and students ## REQUIRED DOCUMENTS In addition to your curriculum vitae, the following documents are required for consideration.
