Candidate Must demonstrate process, management and administrative ability.
• Candidate must be flexible, and highly energized.
Experience in providing instructional leadership at the district level to develop, implement, and supervise high quality systems & structures for Pupil Personnel Services.
• Knowledge of research-based practice for instructional design, delivery, and assessment to support students with disabilities and those students at risk.
Directing and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEP),
Coordinating compliance with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations governing the education of students with disabilities,
Monitoring out-of-district placements and related services,
Supervising departmental administrative staff,
Conducting performance observations of department personnel.
Evaluating annually the performance of program personnel, including speech pathologists, school psychologists, school social workers, registered nurses, teaching assistants and developing plans for improvement.
Screening and interviewing of applicants for pupil personnel position vacancies and makes
Executive Director of Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) will arrange medical services to be provided by the school physician and leads nurses in developing and maintaining effective health programs. This includes implementing mandates for pupil screening and immunizations.
Preparing and monitoring the annual budget for the Pupil Personnel Services department.
Coordinating and developing District policies, regulations and procedures as they relate to pupil personnel services.
