3pm - 11:30pm/ Full Time/ 40 Hours
Salary range - $21.69- $29.05
We're seeking a Coordinator Anesthesia Services for Emory University Hospital, responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work and ensuring the safety for all patients.
This individual will:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Anesthesia Instrumentation/Monitoring Laboratory.
- Have full knowledge of Cardiac Surgery and some managerial experience preferred.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures and communicate them to staff members to ensure their understanding and compliance.
- Supervise staff members by providing leadership, guidance, and training.
- Monitor and direct workflow by observing and reviewing work produced by staff to maintain efficiency and timely services; determine compliance with quality control standards and take corrective action to ensure that these standards are met.
- Resolve Human Resource-related issues, interview and hire staff. Propose and analyze statistical data for proficiency testing, PEER group reviews, CAP surveys, and QA programs. Oversee the purchase of expendable laboratory and monitoring supplies. Make recommendations for the purchase of capital equipment on the basis of operational need and product evaluations.
- Take the necessary precautions in keeping with JCAHO, organizational, and other safety mandates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in General Sciences/Technology or a related field and one year pertinent experience in anesthesia or peri-operative area OR five years pertinent experience in anesthesia or peri-operative area.
- Must have one year experience in a leadership role.
