Project Engineer job at Manpower Engineering. Oakland, MS. Our client is looking for a Project Manager | Project Engineer, based in Oakland, MS. The primary responsibilities are to provide contract project engineering and management of plant capital projects from conception to completion, including budgeting and facilities/utilities work.

Job Title: Project Manager | Project Engineer

Location: Oakland, MS

Engagement: Long term 12+ months - Contract, Onsite

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and project development for the plant.
• Support detailed capital planning and budgeting for the facility.
• Develop detailed engineering plans including Mechanical, Electrical, OEM coordination.
• Economic and feasibility analysis.
• Project development, management, and implementation including vendor/OEM bid or contractor sourcing, development, and management.
• Financial management including cost estimation, budgeting, cost tracking, and processing payments.
• Tracking of overall cash flow for operations capital budget.
• Cost control and schedule development.
• Manage scope from concept to completion, detail design, and planning of capital budgets.
• Project management including contracting, control, commissioning, and startup.
• Perform other work as required by the company.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3–7 years of experience in a project engineer or project manager role.
• Solid working knowledge in food processing processes, packaging equipment, utilities.
• Skills in capital project development and implementation.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, able to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
