Our client, in South Burlington, VT, is seeking technical support representatives to join their team. As a technical support representative, you will assist customers with product issues, upsell warranties and extensions, collect data for improvement, and deliver exceptional customer service. You are trained for the position.
Job Title: Technical Support Representative
Location: South Burlington, VT
Pay Range: Starts at $17.50, with potential to earn around $18.75 after 3-5 months, and around $20.25 after 9-11 months, plus 25% commission on sales.

JOB SUMMARY: The Technical Specialist I is an inbound and outbound contact center representative responsible for supporting customers with technical questions and troubleshooting issues.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three to six months customer service or mechanical experience and/or training; High School Diploma / GED or equivalent.
- Ability to perform sales, upselling, returns, warranties, and credits.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
Additional qualifications include the ability and desire to learn mechanical aspects of equipment, assemble/disassemble products, and communicate effectively with customers and team members. Regular attendance and flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts are required. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to evaluate problems logically.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of engine mechanics and ability to describe product details.
- Application of troubleshooting processes based on theoretical knowledge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Explain machine warranties and support their application.
- Identify and report technical issues to supervisors.
- Upsell during calls to maximize revenue.
- Document service interactions thoroughly.
- Coordinate with power equipment shops for customer visits.
- Understand customer needs and suggest appropriate parts, services, and sales.
- Adhere to call quality standards and schedules.
- Use inventory and shipping software for order processing.
- Provide accurate product information.
- Respond positively to coaching and feedback.
- Participate in outbound sales calls for warranties and maintenance.
- Deliver technical information professionally to resolve customer issues.
- Maintain high standards for call metrics and customer rapport.
- Possess strong verbal communication skills and knowledge of call center technologies and policies.
- Pursue ongoing improvement and maintain a positive attitude toward coaching.
- Achieve sales targets related to revenue, upsell rates, and product sales.
