THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN OGDEN, UTAH AND REQUIRES ON SITE WORK. NO REMOTE WORK IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION. Weber Human Services (WHS), located in Ogden, Utah, serves a growing urban population in Weber and Morgan Counties. WHS is dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan County governments to serve as the local authority for the provision of their substance use, mental health and senior service programs. Weber Human Services is the only organization in the state of Utah providing these services under a single administration. Through dozens of human services programs, WHS helps thousands of neighbors by supporting and empowering our most vulnerable groups, including at‑risk youth, the elderly, children, youth and adults suffering from mental illnesses, and those recovering from addictions. WHS creates hope and opportunities that enable all clients and staff to do the work necessary to become their best self and find joy through people, place and purpose.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and maintains business applications.
• Works independently as well as with customers and team members to define, design, code, test and implement multi‑tier, object‑oriented application solutions.
• Works on one or more projects as needed.
• Constructs and maintains documentation to aid in understanding, maintenance and code reuse.

Qualifications

• In pursuit of an accredited four‑year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in computer programming or related field, with at least two years completion of an accredited certification.
• Preference given to applicants who have basic knowledge of the Microsoft development environment including Visual Studio .NET, SQL, JavaScript, HTML.
• Ability to develop independently in the VB.NET and SQL Server environment on assigned tasks.
• Must be willing to complete a criminal background check and pre‑employment drug screening.

Compensation

Salary: $28.43 per hour
