Test Driver, Autonomous Vehicles (Atlanta)
What You’ll Do
- Operate AeroVect's autonomous vehicles at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
- Log vehicle behavior, performance, observations, and key metrics
- Supervise autonomous baggage tugs while in operation, and manually drive them to and from their storage depot
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the vehicles and their hardware systems
- Work with the engineering team to trial and test new vehicle features
- Interface with those interacting with the vehicle on the route, as cargo and baggage are loaded for the vehicle to transport
- Lend your expertise to the improvement of vehicle performance and handling of complex driving scenarios
Base pay range
$60,000.00/yr - $67,000.00/yr

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience operating in Airside Environments
- Experience handling specialty vehicle types in complex environments
- A valid US Class C Driver's License, with 3+ years of driving experience with a clean driving record
- Experience in a lead or sole-supervisor role, demonstrating superior responsibility
- Being a reliable, detailed-oriented individual with strong communication skills
- Alertness and good driving instinct to monitor autonomous vehicle performance
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Must be able to pass federal background checks and receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badge
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating an autonomous vehicle, or overseeing operations of autonomous machinery
- Experience with safety-critical infrastructure
- Basic computer programming skills. ROS experience is a plus.
- Interest in autonomous driving and aviation
- Test driving experience
- Familiarity with the layout and cargo operations of ATL
