Overview
KEVILLE ENTERPRISES, INC., a WBE/DBE Certified Construction Management and Inspection firm specializing in providing a full spectrum of construction management and support services as an owner's representative on public and private projects has an immediate need for a qualified full time Construction Scheduler to perform scheduling assignments as part of the MARTA Transit Projects in Atlanta, GA. The Scheduler will be required to have knowledge of scheduling principles in order to build and maintain project schedules, monitor and report on status, analyze schedules and associated changes for key risk areas and milestones impact, and will work under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develops and maintain moderately complex schedules and Integrated Master Schedule. Revises forecasts and evaluates impact of delay. Communicates status of schedule and key risk areas to members of project management team.
- Performs schedule analysis to include critical activities, risk areas, key milestones and significant changes to the schedule. Develops "what if" scenarios to explore alternate sequencing in order to mitigate or avoid schedule delays.
- Prepares reporting from schedules.
- Prepares Monthly Program Schedule report.
- Performs detailed review of General Contractors' monthly schedule submittals, including baseline and progress updates.
- Develops work breakdown structure (WBS) and coding to facilitate analysis of the schedules.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Business desired but not required. Six years of related project controls experience may be substituted for Degree.
- 5 to 10 years of related work experience. Program/project scheduling experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in scheduling, critical path analysis, earned value management, and using scheduling software such as Primavera P6 for managing tasks, collaboration, managing timelines, measuring progress, and generating reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good technical knowledge of CPM scheduling, the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and the ability to manage multiple tasks will be critical to the successful candidate.
- Experience in Adobe Acrobat, MS Office Suite applications and skilled at performing data evaluation, formulas and metrics in Excel.
- Knowledge of construction means and methods, materials.
- Heavy Construction / Highway / Bridge / Rail / Facilities experience is preferred.
Office Environment
Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
