Director of Operations – 503A Compounding Pharmacy

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Salary Range: $185,000 - $220,000
Position Snapshot: You will oversee all aspects of our 503A compounding pharmacy, from sterile and non-sterile compounding to dispensing and quality control. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing lean practices, mentoring a dedicated team, and upholding the highest standards of compliance with state and federal regulations, including USP // and DEA requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Lead Operations: Take charge of day-to-day pharmacy operations, optimizing workflow to ensure timely and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Ensure Compliance: Partner with our Quality Assurance team to maintain a robust compliance program and prepare for inspections.
- Mentor Your Team: Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team of pharmacists, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Drive Efficiency: Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate: Work cross-functionally with senior leadership and various departments to achieve organizational goals.
What You'll Bring:
Required:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent.
- An active and unrestricted California Pharmacist License.
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience, with at least 2 years in compounding operations (sterile and/or non-sterile).
- Proven experience in a leadership role, managing pharmacy staff.
Preferred:
- Direct experience in a 503A compounding pharmacy.
- Strong knowledge of USP , , and standards.
- A track record of successful operational optimization.
