Description
Team Fishel, the best choice employer in the utility construction business, is hiring in the Indianapolis, IN area! We are looking to hire a Telecom Supervisor (Underground Construction) for our Indianapolis operations. The Telecom Supervisor is a critical role within our operation to manage new business projects within our Broadband division. This role offers a great opportunity to help establish Team Fishel as the leader in utility construction in Indiana!
The purpose of a Telecom Supervisor at Team Fishel is to sell projects, communicate with customers and teammates, set work directions, and remove obstacles so the team can succeed, delight the customer, and ensure project profitability.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams with our core value: to be Accident-Free.
- Review pre-job checklists before start-up.
- Conduct walk-throughs with foremen and customers.
- Secure cost-effective materials.
- Recruit, interview, and hire new teammates.
- Champion teammate development programs.
- Evaluate teammate performance and provide coaching.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 5-7 years of related experience in construction.
- Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and customers.
- Competent Person Training in Trenching and Excavation.
- Competent Person Training in Confined Spaces.
- Valid Driver’s License; Class A CDL is a plus.
- Understanding of safety processes and practices in construction.
- Good knowledge of aerial telecom, CATV, or power construction.
- Experience managing small to medium-sized jobs.
- Ability to coordinate 1-3 small crews.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing materials.
- Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and email.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, blueprints, and equipment.
Team Fishel provides on-the-job safety training, including flagging certification and equipment operation.
Bilingual skills and prior construction experience are a plus.
