Interventional Radiology APP - Methodist Hospital - Indianapolis, IN
Indiana University Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Radiology team at Methodist Hospital in downtown Indianapolis. This person will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that includes Level 1 trauma, stroke, oncology, transplant, and vascular services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interventional radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to manage pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care
- Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
- Assist in interventional procedures including vascular access, drain placements, and image-guided biopsies
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and follow-up care
- Document clinical findings and care plans
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Indiana
- Certification by AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA
- Strong procedural skills and comfort working in high-acuity settings
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
- Background in interventional radiology
- Experience with patient rounding
- Experience with completing minimally invasive radiology procedures
Position Details
- Monday through Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- No holidays
- No weekends
- No call

Healthcare System/Hospital Description
IU Health Methodist Hospital is a large tertiary referral center with over 130 ICU beds and 1,000 beds total. It serves as the largest trauma center in Indianapolis and is a subspecialized center for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and more. IU Health is building a new downtown hospital and campus, set to open in late 2027, featuring three 16-story towers with 864 beds.
IU School of Medicine is also constructing a medical education and research building east of the new hospital.
