Job Details

We are looking for Medical Office Assistants who will provide the highest quality of patient care by being an integral part of the clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms following protocol, including disinfecting, stocking all rooms, and checking vaccinations and medications availability for the day.
• Review the next day’s schedule and identify gaps in care to pre-prepare patient charts.
• Ensure and/or obtain the last mammogram, breast ultrasound, colonoscopy, immunizations, and other clinical studies or consults required for the office visit.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and direct patient flow for maximum efficiency.
• Collect and document patient information, clinical data, vital signs, allergies, medications, chief complaints, and symptoms.
• Obtain additional data from tests and historical records, report findings to providers, and recognize abnormal findings or changes in condition.
• Confirm and clarify written orders before implementing delegated tasks.
• Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens for testing.
• Track and enter results in medical records, perform quality control, and maintain logs.
• Assist with front office duties such as greeting patients, answering phones, and verifying insurances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in care tasks such as phlebotomy and aseptic techniques.

Salary Range

USD $22.87 - USD $29.13 per hour. Actual pay depends on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Benefits, bonuses, and incentives are not included in this range.
