Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Hotel Restaurant Host for the Interlocken Hotel. Omni Interlocken Hotel is a Four-Diamond resort offering a dynamic work environment, comprehensive training and mentoring, and a culture of respect, gratitude and empowerment. AM & PM shifts are available.

Role Overview

The Restaurant Host will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Food & Beverage Leaders to greet and assist guests, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction. The role requires greeting guests in a friendly and courteous manner and seating them according to Omni Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls.
  • Seating guests.
  • Control heavy volume at Restaurant entrance.
  • Assist with Restaurant in Room or Restaurant to Go orders as needed.
  • Assist the team with the cleanliness of the restaurant when needed.
  • Assist with side work - rolling silverware, restocking, wiping down menus, wiping down high chairs, and any additional tasks from leadership.
  • Knowledge of hotel property to best assist our guests.
  • Warm hospitality greeting with all guests.
  • Attend to and anticipate guests' needs.
  • Familiarization with menu.
  • Knowledge of daily specials.
  • Assist with delivery of hotel amenities.

Qualifications

  • Open Table knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers, with the ability to answer guest questions and describe menu items.
  • Developed customer service skills with refined phone etiquette.
  • Professional appearance, high energy and the ability to naturally engage with guests.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast paced environment.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and twisting.
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including afternoons and evenings, both Saturday and Sundays and holidays.
  • Current ServSafe Food Handlers Certifications are required before your first shift.
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
