The Marcus Corporation is hiring: Restaurant Supervisor in Madison

To supervise and train staff, as well as be actively involved in the day-to-day maintenance and coordination of the restaurant by providing the necessary set-up, upkeep, break down, and cleaning function policies and procedures. Enforce all policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Supervises and trains staff in the service of food and beverages according to standards.

· Communicates frequently with supervisors as to the progress of the day's work.

· Communicates frequently with guest contacts in order to ensure that their needs are being met.

· Supervises and trains staff in maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant, public areas, and storage areas.

· Supervises and trains staff in maintaining inventory of necessary supplies.

· Maintains an accurate cash bank in compliance with the Cash Handling Policy.

· Maintains an accurate cash bank in compliance with the Cash Handling Policy.

· Supervises and trains staff to conform to Hilton's high standards of quality and service.

· All other duties assigned by supervisor/manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to read and comprehend English in order to receive instructions from managers and guests and to communicate with all members of the banquet department.

· Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.

· Ability to lift 35 lbs. with reasonable accommodation.

· Knowledge of food preparation.

· Prior Restaurant Server experience required.Prior hospitality supervisory experience preferred.
