Egg Dock Receiving Associate - Second Shift at Michael Foods. We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented team member to ensure the smooth and accurate delivery, shipment, and handling of egg products. You’ll be the key point of contact for drivers, management, and coworkers—making sure shipments are properly received, logged, and moved to the right locations. Responsibilities

  • Take personal responsibility for maintaining a safe and healthy workplace by following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards at all times.
  • Accurately confirm and log incoming items, including material numbers, weights, and pallet quantities.
  • Safely transport materials from the dock to designated plant locations using power jacks.
  • Load and unload trailers based on instructions from the Breaking Manager, Supervisor, or Lead.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the dock area, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet specifications and take corrective action when needed.
  • Enter shipment and inventory data into the computer system accurately.
  • Monitor and maintain dock security, both inside and outside the facility.
  • Follow GMP and HACCP guidelines to maintain sanitary conditions and support SQF Level 3 certification.
  • Report any conditions or practices that could impact food safety, product quality, or personnel safety.
  • Foster a positive work environment through respectful communication and teamwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Capable of writing routine reports and communicating effectively with team members, vendors, and customers.
  • Strong basic math skills, including the ability to work with fractions, decimals, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Education, Experience And Skills

  • Willingness and ability to obtain PIT certification if not already certified.
  • Basic reading and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic arithmetic and computer skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Willingness to learn sanitation procedures, GMPs, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Interest in learning breaking department procedures to support safe and efficient product flow.
  • A combination of education and experience that enables successful performance of essential duties.
  • Ability to operate specific tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Comfort using computers and familiarity with spreadsheet and word-processing software.
