Dock Coordinator

The team member in this position is responsible for the quality and efficiency of trailer loading/unloading, including the pallet handling process. The team member will operate a forklift or work with the LGV (Laser Guided Vehicle) and handling system. This includes checking outbound trailers prior to loading, monitoring all LGV activity in the warehouse, following SOPs to maintain inventory accuracy, prepping loads for cross-country shipments and customer requirements, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Functions

LGV sites

  • Receive and process all inbound orders into the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including raw materials, pallets, ingredients, and internal transfers.
  • Follow SOPs and guidelines for receiving, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) efficiently and accurately.
  • Validate new SKUs in the WMS to ensure proper storage and handling by the LGVs.
  • Clear blocked locations in WMS to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with CSO (Central Shipping Office) to ensure smooth flow of shipments in and out of the warehouse as per schedule.
  • Compile records by SKU, quantities, sub-inventories, and validate Oracle EBS and WMS inventories against physical counts to investigate and report discrepancies.

Non-LGV

  • Receive and process all inbound orders into the WMS, including raw materials, pallets, ingredients, and internal transfers.
  • Follow SOPs and safety guidelines for receiving.
  • Process RMA efficiently and accurately.
  • Coordinate with CSO to ensure smooth flow of shipments.
  • Compile and validate inventory records, reporting discrepancies.

Routine Tasks

  • Rebuild damaged pallets prior to restocking.
  • Consolidate finished goods storage.
  • Identify and report quality issues.
  • Correct product spills.
  • Manually pull pallets as needed.
  • Supply production with non-inventory items.
  • Operate forklift and unload deliveries.
  • Facilitate information flow between logistics, production, and sales.
  • Test and monitor resin and spring water.
  • Coordinate preload activities and trailer inspections.
  • Provide loading documents and maintain records for shipping and inventory control.
  • Participate in process improvement and cost reduction efforts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure regular attendance.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years of experience in the specific position.
  • 2 years managing people or projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in a similar environment.
  • 4 years of experience in the position.
  • 4 years managing people/projects.
