With branches located in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, we are looking for a Dock and Door Technician in Dartmouth to join our growing Nova Scotia Team.

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  1. Dock and Door installation, maintenance, and inspection
  2. Perform repairs in addition to installation and maintenance of dock and door parts
  3. Service will include mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs as per the equipment
  4. Diagnosing electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs
  5. Analyze and diagnose dock levelers and vehicle restraints
  6. Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections on warehouse facilities
  7. Install dock equipment including shelters, seals, lights, bollards, vehicle restraints, levelers, high speed doors, and overhead doors

Skill Requirements:

  1. Must have 2-5 years dock and door experience.
  2. Must have strong welding skills.
  3. Good analytical skills to diagnose mechanical problems with minimal supervision.
  4. Good mechanical aptitude with an ability to service a diverse range of equipment.
  5. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with co-workers and managers; positive attitude, and good work ethic.
  6. Provide current and suitable Driver’s Abstract.
  7. Provide current and suitable Driver’s License.
  8. Ability to lift to 70 lbs.
  9. Ability to manage multiple jobs at one time.
  10. Ability to complete paperwork for multiple jobs accurately and timely.
