WHAT IS THE OBJECTIVE OF A BAKE SHOP PRODUCTION ASSISTANT AT KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE?

The bake shop production team member is responsible for spreading happiness and ensuring our guests receive baked goods that help create an exceptional experience. The person in this position will be able to accurately follow bake shop recipes and understand mixing/baking techniques. This person must understand the confidential nature of the recipes and maintain their discretion. This position is also responsible to recognize and achieve standards of quality for both raw and finished products consistently through following proper guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Safely operate oven, large and small mixers, scales, dough depositor, and all other bake shop equipment.
  2. Read and understand recipes; follow directions exactly.
  3. Know location of raw materials and ensure bins are filled daily.
  4. Follow production schedule for daily baking/mixing tasks.
  5. Record daily baking and mixing on production sheets.
  6. Assist in keeping freezer and refrigerator clean and organized.
  7. Responsible to “open” and “close” the bake shop according to checklists.
  8. Develop knowledge about bake shop products, the ingredients (our recipes are confidential) and the shelf life.
