Summary
The Production Assistant II position will play an integral part in the coordination and execution of production schedules, contributing to projects that drive innovation and excellence in our field. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and management to streamline operations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards. This position demands a proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our production team, you will gain invaluable experience in aerospace manufacturing processes while contributing to the success and growth of our organization.
Position Responsibilities
- Monitoring and servicing systems
- Ensuring released jobs are completed to schedule
- Completing reports
- Updating and improving existing systems
- Planning and scheduling repairs
- Printing and dissemination of work orders throughout shop floor
- Work with counterpart in Avionics to resolve any issues
- Work with planners to ensure that MRP is driving the correct components for production
- Completion of work orders through Oracle
- General schedule awareness
- Awareness of schedule changes and effects of changes
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Associate’s degree, certification or some related college courses preferred
- 1-2 years of working experience required
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical, time management and organizational skills
- Good computer skills and proficiency with office software and productivity tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, reach, lift (up to 20 lbs.), bend, etc. Hand and wrist dexterity to utilize the computer
Environmental Conditions Critical to Performance
- Work is in an office environment, climate controlled through central air conditioning/heating
- May have some exposure to outside environment (rarely)
