Job Title: Production Assistant, Live Events

Pay Details:

The starting hourly rate range for this position is $22.00 to $27.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.

We're seeking a highly organized and energetic individual to join our team as a Production Assistant for Live Events. The role will assist in ensuring the successful execution of events across OCVIBE venues, including Honda Center, and work behind the scenes with the production and sales teams, to ensure high quality productions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Audio, Video, Effects Lighting Engineers, and Multimedia team in developing and maintaining schedules, production plans, timelines, and logistics

  • Assist with vendor communications, track details, and coordinate deliverables

  • Work as a liaison between the technical crew, sales team, vendors, and clients to ensure streamlined communication

  • Create and maintain production schedules and event-related documents

  • Assist with equipment rentals, ensuring timely pick-up, set-up, and breakdown

  • Coordinate with venue staff on logistics, technical requirements, and safety protocols

  • Manage and schedule production crew and volunteers

  • Assist with on-site event management tasks, including troubleshooting and problem-solving

  • Provide post-event support, including equipment returns, data collection, and reporting

Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in live event production or a related field; strong relevant internship experience may be considered in lieu of this criteria

  • Experience as a stage manager with an understanding of behind the scenes show flows and timelines preferred

  • Comfortable in creative and corporate environments

  • Basic knowledge of audio, video, and lighting practices for live events, including corporate meetings and similar

  • Understanding of live presentations, show flows, timelines and scripts

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Comfortable with heights, climbing ladders, scaffolding, and occasionally walking up to 6-7 miles in a day

  • Able to work in an open-office facility

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to multitask while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to work in a team-oriented and creative environment

  • Able to work in fluctuating temperatures

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience Required - 1-2 Years
