• This position is onsite 5x a week at our New Rochelle office.

Position Purpose

Responsible for providing production support to the Creative Services department in a variety of capacities.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist supervision of daily operations of the production department
• Management of offshore production teams across multiple projects
• Execute InDesign layout corrections based on instructions from Editorial, Copy Editing, and Design departments
• Advance print and digital projects through the production workflow
• Troubleshoot design layout issues
• Create InDesign Templates with correct printer specifications
• Perform digital manipulation of high-resolution art and photographic files to optimize reproduction and fit layout design, including image extension, silhouetting, color correction, and format changes
• Quality check final page files for accuracy in content and execution
• Create PDF files from InDesign documents
• Transmit PDF files to print facilities
• Migrate and archive files to BEC’s DAM locations
• Perform minor design work as needed

Job Requirements/Skills And Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience in graphic production for publications
• 5+ years experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Acrobat and Illustrator
• 3 years experience with Woodwing preferred
• High proficiency with MAC OS
• Understanding of printing processes
• Experience managing project teams and offshore vendors
• Ability to multitask several projects concurrently
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Keen interest in instructional technology and digital media
• Quick learner of new software

Salary Range

$75,000 - $85,000. The actual offer depends on factors like location, experience, and education.
