Overview
Production Engineer (Parts Production Engineering) provides engineering support for electronic and electro-mechanical equipment and processes, including the development, initiation and modification of processes for the production of new components. They plan and coordinate the integration of new machinery and equipment into manufacturing processes, including fabrication and testing of new machine components and tooling for the production of new products. They develop preventive maintenance programs for production and machinery, tooling and equipment and test processes and machinery to identify and resolve production problems and develop and implement ergonomic improvements.
Responsibilities
- Programming Fanuc and Universal robots for automation
- Able to use Robo-guide to make programs offline
- Participate in automation strategy meetings
- Complete robotic automation projects
- Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and HMI systems
- Assist with preventive analyses on day-to-day issues and suggest improvements related to business user queries
- Coordinate with various teams, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of production issues/processes
- Monitor, highlight and escalate issues for production systems
- Analyze business processes and ensure compliance with controlled processes according to business requirements
- Be flexible and enthusiastic to learn new systems
- Support Production and Maintenance with robot troubleshooting
Qualifications / Experience
- 4-8 years engineering experience with Fanuc Robots
- Competent with Robo-guide
- PLC/HMI troubleshooting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
